Bertie the Bus from Thomas & Friends

Bertie the Bus is a small red single deck front entrance bus who is good humored. Bertie can be seen at railway crossings and station parking lots. He is a descendant of the English charabanc of the 1930's and 40's. Bertie is depended on for transporting passengers around the Island of Sodor.

Bertie first appeared in Thomas, Terence and the Snow in 1949, a story in Tank Engine Thomas Again. Bertie is famous for his great race with Thomas who won the race.
