Devious Diesel the diesel shunter from Thomas & Friends

Diesel is known as devious diesel because he likes to stir up trouble in the shed. He is painted black with a red bumper and has six wheels. Diesel seems to always have a smirk on his face and thinks the steamies are out matched by the diesels. He also holds the distinction of being the first diesel engine to arrive on Sodor.

Diesel is modeled after a British Rail Class 08 shunting locomotive. Some sources say he is modeled after a diesel electric British rail shunting engine. He holds the record for most shunted freight cars in a single day. Diesel is the feature character in Devious Diesel from the television series.
