Sir Handel is a narrow gauge tank engine and he is one of the oldes engines on the Narrow Gauge Railway. He proudly is painted blue with red and yellow lining and wears his name on both sides of his body. His original name was Falcon and was changed to Sir Handel when he arrived at Sir Topham Hatt’s railway. He was later named after Skarloey Railway’s original owner, Sir Handel Brown.
When Sir Handel was known as Falcon he lived on the Mid Sodor Railway with Duke
and Stuart. And when the railway closed down they were sold to the Sodor Aluminium Company, and eventually to the Skarloey Railway.
