D199

D199 is a diesel engine train car who believes that steam engines are inferior to diesel power. He is painted in the British Railways Rail Blue with a bright yellow face and he has two nicknames, they are Old Reliable and Spamcan. D199 is printed on the front and rear cab on both sides. He has been known to be rude and pompous towards steam engines.

Trivia

D199 was built in 1960 and he arrived on Sodor in 1967 with 7101 known as Bear. His only appearance was in Enterprising Engines. D199 has a favorite saying "Nothing ever happens to us. We are reliable." He is modeled after a BR Class 44 "Peak" 1Co-Co1.
