Rocky the crane from Thomas & Friends

Rocky is a very large red crane with yellow hazard stripes. Rocky is a maintenance unit and is used for rescues. He recently rescued Spencer in Hero of the Rails. Rocky is very strong and does all of the heavy lifting by picking up engines that are derailed. He loves to put them back on track!

Trivia

Rocky is modeled after a Ransome and Rapier 45 ton steam crane built about 1945. Rocky relies on other engines to pull him to the where he is needed because he doesn't have an engine. Rocky became part of the Search and Rescue Team after Misty Island Rescue.
