Salty the Dockside Diesel engine from Thomas & Friends

Salty is known as the Dockside Diesel engine that is painted crimson and has yellow and black hazard strips. Salty's hazard strips are located on the front and rear. He carries the number 2991 on his sides. Salty is a bit of a battered old diesel engine and he has a West Country accent.

Salty loves to use his nautical slang to tell his sea stories about working at Brendam docks.

Trivia

Slaty is modeled after a British Rail Class 07 Dock Shunter No. D2991 found in use at the Eastleigh Works in Hampshire. He made is first appearance in Season 6 and has made multiple appearances since.
