Skarloey the tank engine from Thomas & Friends

Skarloey the narrow gauge industrial tank engine is hard working and chipper. He is painted in the red livery color with white and gold lining with his name painted in gold which appears on his saddle tank. Skarloey was the first engine on the Skarloey Railway when he first arrived on Sodor in 1865.

Skarloey is known to be very brave and sometimes very pompous too.

Trivia

Skarloey was modeled after a 0-4-0ST with no cab, built in 1864 at Fletcher Jennings and Co at Whitehaven. Rheneas and Skarloey are brothers. In the episode Duncan Gets Spooked the ghost engine that fell over the iron bridge down into the ravine was Skarloey's model.
