Stepney the mountain engine from Thomas & Friends

Stepney the mountain engine is narrow guage tank engine. He is painted ochre with a black funnel and wears his name on both sides, he is number 55. Stepney loves working on his branch line because honest and hard working. Rusty his friend saved him from the scrap yard.

Trivia

Stepney is modeled after a London Brighton and South Coast Railway A1 Class Terrier 0-6-0 tank locomotive and appears in Stepney the Bluebell Engine in season 18. The Rev W. Awdry directed attention to the Bluebell Railway by using Stepney's character to support the preservation of the railway.
