Murdoch the mighty engine from Thomas & Friends

Murdoch the mighty engine has 10 wheels and is painted orange. He is the largest steam engine on Sodor where he was brought to help with pulling heavy workloads and to pull freight along the mainline.

Murdoch is used to carrying heavy loads and equipment. He sometimes pulls his pal Rocky the breakdown crane.

Trivia

Murdoch is modeled after the BR Standard Class 9F goods engine which was the last steam engines built for the British Railways in 1960. Murdoch is a very shy engine and likes to a cozy spot in the countryside to relax.
