Emily the Sterling Single Engine from Thomas & Friends

Emily is painted a beautiful dark emerald green with a shiny brass safety valve cover with large driving wheels. Her paint work is very glossy. She is always ready to help and can be a little bossy sometimes.

Emily acts like a big sister to smaller engines like Thomas and Percy. She is the newest member of the Steam Team. Emily is modeled after the Stirling 4-2-2 of the Great Northern Railway.

Emily is a member of the Steam Team, which includes Edward, Henry, Gordon, James, Toby, Percy and Thomas.

Trivia

Emily is the only female member of the Steam Team and was the first female steam engine to be featured on television. When Emily first arrived on the Island of Sodor she took Thomas' coaches Annie and Clarabel by mistake.

Sir Topham Hatt rewarded Emily with a pair of new coaches after she rescued Oliver and Toad who were stuck on the tracks.
